Sharyn was born and raised in San Francisco, California. While growing up in San Francisco, Sharyn was able to experience a diverse mix of cultures and food. She also worked at her family’s restaurant in the Financial District serving a menu of eclectic fare. With this experience came an early appreciation for food from around the globe. In addition to her hometown influence for good food, Sharyn also grew up in a family who viewed food as an integral part of living. Food wasn’t only considered as sustenance but as a vital ingredient to socializing with family and friends. A popular social greeting from her Asian heritage is “Have you eaten yet?”…If somebody just ate, life was good! Street Eats was started to extend the good life to people on the streets. Come on people, let’s eat, drink and be merry!
Rich gained his appreciation for food at a very young age. Mouth watering meals were always the focal point of family gatherings. Ask him where he would go to eat if he could go anywhere and his answer is always the same "home to have my Dad's cooking". Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area Rich was exposed to many different types of food and cultures. His travels around the globe reinforced his feeling that the best food was not served in a restaurant but on the streets. That is where you truly find the heart and soul of a community.
